Comments: It is time for something a bit different to promote tennis. The ACE report is for fun, but I hope that the awareness of the report encourages the kids to work hard on their serves in the off-season.

Clicking on the player's name will take you to a detailed report for each player.

There are two ways to add aces to this report. The coach may do it via the score submittal process (preferred) or a parent, who is a member of Gerber Analytics, may submit the results via a Feedback message.

Have fun with it.

Scott Gerber, Gerber Analytics, LLC

Frequently Asked Questions:

How will the process work? Each player needs to report the number of aces to his/her coach after each match. Just as with the score, the players should be in agreement with the number (but again, this is for fun so please treat it this way)... The coach is responsible for entering the data for his/her team on Gerber Analytics.

What is an ace? Let's go with "no touching the ball with the returner's racquet." I also want these to be legitimate aces (i.e. no quick, underhand serves). Spin serves are fine.

Should the coaches be expected to spend hours entering this data? No. There might be two or three players on your team that can hit aces on a regular basis. Personally, I would like to recognize the players with the most aces but if a coach wants to enter them for everyone on the team that's fine.

What do I do if the coach doesn't enter the data? Parents who are members of Gerber Analytics may submit this data. Please do this quickly after the match. I would like it to be the same day as the match while memories are still sharp.
